Rebecca & I

A Little About Me

I’ve had a passion for technology since I was a kid, and have been working in IT professionally since 2011. In the past couple years, I’ve also developed an interest in web design. My hobbies include spending time with my wife, playing Minecraft with my son, and learning more about God while finding ways to demonstrate His glory.

I met my beautiful wife in 2015. Soon after meeting her, I knew that God had made her for me. She was a nurse, had a passion for God, and a big heart for people! She also had the most amazing 7 year old son who needed a father. We married in November of 2016, and we’ve never been happier.

My dream, if God wills it, is to operate a business that provides affordable, refurbished and custom computers to the community, offers basic IT services to individuals, including information and advice on protecting their families online, and offers IT consulting/management services to non-profits, connecting them to tools they can use to establish themselves and thrive. My hope is that showcasing my abilities here will help bring that dream to fruition.

How I got into IT & Website Design

  • My interest in technology started in high school. I had always been a big gamer, even becoming addicted to an online game for a couple years. In fact, I built my first computer just so that I’d get better performance while gaming! My other hobbies consisted of installing custom ROMs on my android, sleeping in class so I could stay up all night gaming, and generally being a recluse. It wasn’t the brightest time in my life, but I guess that just made me an average high school kid.
  • During my junior and senior years, I joined the yearbook class, partly because I was no longer interested in athletics. It also happened to be one of the only classes that allowed us to use a computer (small school issues). Yearbook taught be a lot about design, and I loved figuring out new layouts for our pages. It’s where my interest in good designs started. Around the same time, I started volunteering at our local CWJC as their “IT Guy”. CWJC is a non-profit focused on providing women & men necessary life and job skills in a Christian context. You can find out more on their website. Rebuilding their computer lab was my first big IT project, at least in my mind at the time.
  • Those experiences showed me the type of career I wanted to pursue, so it was a no-brainer to start college with a major in Information Technology. Unfortunately, college was not an environment I thrived in, and I was learning more relevant information and skills on my own. So, when the opportunity to work full-time at Drewery Construction as the IT Coordinator, I jumped on it. I’ve been working professionally in IT ever since.
